2. Data we collect

When you contact us

The contact form on this website asks for your first and last name, your email address, a subject, your company, and a message. Only the name and email address are required. We use what you send to answer you.

Form submissions are not stored on this website. They are sent to us by email and kept in our mailbox for as long as the correspondence is relevant.

When you register for our software

Registration for the software collects:

We do not collect any other personal data through the software itself.

Access to source code

Our software may require access to your source code in order to function. Your source code does not leave the machine the software is installed on. We do not collect it, transmit it to another system, or store it anywhere else.

Depending on your setup, that machine may be your own infrastructure or infrastructure CodeLaser hosts for you. Where we host it, your source code resides on that machine. It is not copied off it, not shared with third parties, and is used only to operate the software on your behalf.

3. Purpose and legal basis

We process your personal data for the following purposes:

• Account creation and management for the software (Legal basis: Performance of contract / Your consent)

4. Data retention

Correspondence you send us is kept for as long as it is relevant to our dealings with you, and is deleted when it is not.

Data from software registration is retained:

• For as long as you use the software
• Until you request deletion of your account
• Whichever comes first

After this period, your data will be permanently deleted unless we are required by law to retain it.

5. Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We do not share your data with third parties except:

• When required by law
• With your explicit consent

This website and its data are hosted by Hostinger on servers in the United Kingdom. The United Kingdom is covered by a European Commission adequacy decision, so personal data may be transferred there under the same protection it has in the EU.

8. Cookies, analytics and server logs

This website sets no cookies for visitors. There is no third-party analytics, no advertising, and nothing that follows you to other websites. Cookies are set only when someone signs in to administer the site, and those are necessary for signing in. The pages load their typefaces from this domain, so viewing the site does not cause your browser to contact any third party.

Our own server keeps a log of the pages it serves. Each entry records the IP address the request came from, the time, the page, the page you arrived from and your browser’s identification. We use it to see which pages are read and which organisations take an interest in our work. Nothing is stored on your device, you are not given an identifier, and the log is never shared or sold.

Log files are deleted after 90 days. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding who our work reaches. You can object to this processing, or ask what is held about you, at bart.naudts@codelaser.io.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through the software.
